The fifth element, known as spirit, is the culmination of everything that makes up earthly matter.
When I think of the spirit element, I often think of the heavenly realm! This is the realm that is the furthest away from the earthly realm. Here, you’ll find top-tier deities, angel beings of light, and those canonized in sainthood!
To get to the higher realm, you might like to try hedge witchcraft, meditation, breathing exercises, and high magick! The goal will be to open up your crown chakra so that downloaded information will come through. This will essentially help you in all areas of your life, including the ones you struggle with the most.
When thinking of the spirit element, I often think of it as everything, as all! The spirit element is the earth, fire, water, and air elements combined.
Additionally, using the Chinese elements, the wood and metal elements can be connected to the spirit, as well. Again, spirit is everything, spirit is all. The spirit is life-force energy!
What is life-force energy? Also known as chi, life-force energy ubiquitously captures the magic of all living things, breathing new life into them. It is the source of health, vitality, and well-being.
Essentially, life-force energy is holistic health and wellness. It’s the combination of our physical matter, as well as that of our soul, heart, and spirit. It is what keeps us growing, thriving, and carrying on!
There are many ways to reach this level, but there are never any shortcuts. In green witchcraft, you might find yourself reaching spirit witchcraft while spending time in nature, while simultaneously deep-diving into the forest.
Forest bathing is yet another way to canoodle with nature and draw strength from its source energy. The forest can be a place of calm, peacefulness, and groundedness. It is also known as a powerful healer and a remedy to life’s everyday worries and dramas.
As a green hearthcraft witch, you might find comfort in keeping plants and crystals around the home. This connects you with spirit energy at the home front. Praying, keeping goddess statuary, reading tarot cards, and connecting with your house spirits keep the life-force energy flowing in your home.
The pentagram represents the fifth element and can be used for healing, shielding, and protection anywhere you go! I often keep a pentagram in the heart of the home. As a house witch, you want to always be cleansing, clearing, and bringing good energy into the home!
Spirit magick is the connection to the mysterious, unknown, and divine! Many people reach this place through prayer, chanting, meditation, and sound baths. There are many ways to reach this place, and it will be different for everyone.
As you can see, the spirit element can be used for any kind of magical practice you should try! It’s not about being perfect, but it’s about becoming a spiritual person in connection with your higher purpose for being here.
Spirit Witchcraft: The Spirit Element
Using spirit witchcraft in your magical practice will teach you to go places you’ve never gone before! It’s like opening a door that leads to many more doors of opportunity. You’ll gain wisdom, understanding, and knowledge from the spirit world that you never thought was possible.
I use spirit all of the time in my green witchcraft practice. It’s impossible to do any kind of magick without it. The spiritual realm is how manifestations come to life.
With spirit magick, it works as a standalone. You don’t need herbs, tarot cards, healing stones, or anything else to make your spells come true. It can be worked with or without tangible physical objects!
You might use spirit witchcraft more than you think you do! If you pray over your rosary beads every morning, that’s the spirit element at work! Prayer, meditation, and a daily gratitude practice are all forms of the spirit taking place in your life.
If you practice yoga magick every morning, that’s another form of spiritual magick. It’s contained in everything, everywhere, helping us to understand the meaning of life.
One of the ways I work with the spirit element is through deity work. What is deity work? It’s working with gods and goddesses, something higher than yourself, to make your manifestations come true.
For example, my patron goddess is the Roman Goddess Fortuna! She is my patron deity, best friend, and the love of my love all rolled into one. Working with deities further connects us with the higher realms, since this is where you are likely to find them.
Practicing angel witchcraft was one of the first things I ever did magically! Angel witchcraft is where you work with angels to bring your spells to life. Angels work from the heavenly realm and have unlimited time and resources to offer.
I’ve found that working with Archangel Michael and Archangel Raphael always snaps my spirituality back into place, no matter how lost I might have become. Angels, particularly the archangels, are powerful beings of love and light, and can be called on daily!
Angel magick has gotten me through my dark night of the soul experience, as well as many spiritual awakenings! Angels are here to assist us through everything, providing guidance, healing, and protection along the way.
Additionally, working with the saints, such as Saint Expedite, has taught me that miracles can come true for anybody, even me. The saints act fast to create the miracles you ask for in this life. They make powerful intercessors and guides!
Beginning any kind of spiritual practice will bring you closer to the life-force energy of spirit! Whether it be clearing your chakras, sound baths, listening to music, or spending time in nature, there are always ways to connect with the fifth element.

The fifth element is what brings manifestations to life! When doing spellwork or performing a ritual, you must tap into spirit to make your wants, wishes, and dreams come true. It’s the invisible force that connects us with a higher consciousness.
It’s what makes your spells work! Whether you wish to work with mermaid magick or become a swamp witch, you’ll need access to the spirit to make it work. Spirit witchcraft is life-force energy!
The spirit element exists in all that you do! It’s the glue that holds everything together. Picture it as a swirling, sparkling ball of white energy light.
In that white energy ball of light is where the higher consciousness resides. Here, you’ll find gods and goddesses from every religion and belief system. You’ll also find some of the unexpected.
I was quite surprised when I found out that the unicorns live in the higher realm. When I looked further into it, it made perfect sense. Unicorns represent purity and all that is sacred!
In the heavenly realm, you’ll find spirit guides, guardian angels, and saints in full force living here. They can beam into other realms, like the faerie realm and the earthly realm, anytime they need to, with time being of no concern to them. This is how they can help us instantly when we need it the most!
Most of all, in spirit witchcraft, the higher realm is where our higher selves reside! It is here where we can find the highest version of ourselves and gain access. In the higher realm, our higher self is perfect, selfless, and holds the wisdom and the keys to life.
As you can see, the spirit element represents all that we are! It is source energy, and we have access to the wisdom, understanding, and knowledge it contains at all times. Are you ready?
