Additionally, when I think of mermaid folk, I think of the supernatural, the mystical, and the unknown. Mermaids represent the unknown and mysterious. They are considered to be shy and elusive until you forge a relationship with them.
To work with mermaids, it will require regular devotion and spending time near bodies of water, preferably the sea. In the past, I have found that swimming in the ocean is one of the easiest ways to connect with them, as it brings out your more playful side!
I remember being in my early thirties and pretending to be a mermaid with my niece while we swam and did a water dance in the ocean! Mermaids, much like dolphin spirit animal, tend to bring out a fun, playful energy to whomever wishes to work with them!
