Plants By Laurali The Fairy Witchcraft Tiny Handbook

The Fairy Witchcraft Tiny Handbook includes fairy cottagecore, manifestation magick, and wishing spell witchcraft with Plants By Laurali! Fairies, also known as nature spirits, are one of my favorite spirits to work with as a green witch. If you’ve always wanted to work with them, this concise handbook will provide the guidance you’ve been seeking!

Fairies can be beneficial to the craft, no matter what kind of witchcraft practitioner you are. Working with the nature spirits denotes a connection to the in-between worlds and creates a deeper connection to Mother Nature right here on earth.

What is fairy witchcraft? Fairy witchcraft is a witchcraft practice that incorporates folklore and beliefs surrounding fairies. It’s one in which you’ll be spending time in the garden, hiking in the forest, and spending a great deal of time in the Great Outdoors, as this is where they can commonly be seen and found.

I’ve been working with the fairies for many years. They came into my life when I needed them the most, and they saved me. Many years ago, I was hospitalized for a suicide attempt, and walking in the forest every day after brought me out of the depths of my despair.

I’ve heard many stories like this. Many people will tell you that the fey are dangerous, and to some extent, that might be true. However, many of us, my story included, demonstrate how the fey can be helpful to humankind.

The nature spirits are here to help us, drawing us closer to the earthly realm we live. They teach us patience, kindness, and respect for the land we live on. They are the land spirits, and they’ve been here long before we ever came to be.

Who are the fairies that live amongst us? They are the gnomes (earth), the nymphs (water), the sylphs (air), and the salamanders (fire). They live in trees, flowers, plant spirits, and near large bodies of water. The nature spirits can be found in any natural location, as well as in the in-between.

More importantly, fairies are the magic within you! They are the faith, belief, and trust that have been instilled in us long ago. Remember, as a child, how easy it was to believe in four-leaf clovers, unicorns, and a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow?

To work with the fey, first you must believe in them and ask them to show themselves to you. To do so, you’ll have to earn their trust and respect first. You can do this by picking up litter, tending a wild garden, helping an injured animal, and being respectful of the land. The fairies are always watching us, waiting to see what we will do.

The fairy-human relationship is symbiotic, meaning it will be reciprocated in kind. This means consistently showing up for them, bringing offerings, and showing them your affection and kindness. If a fairy becomes your ally, they will become a friend for life!

When I think of the fairies, I think of Goddess Aine! She is a fairy queen and can create a bridge between you and the fairy realm. Goddess Aine is of Irish descent and can assist with creating a childlike faith within you, which is something most adults lack.

Additionally, when I think of the fairy folk, I think of spending time in Mother Nature and working with plant allies! The easiest way to connect with the nature spirits is by spending time in natural spaces, whether it be hiking, camping under the stars, or kayaking in the ocean.

To work with fairies in witchcraft, you’ll want to first establish a mutually respectful relationship with them. Get out in the garden or forest and leave gifts for them. Go on long walks and pray to them. Spend time with them as much as possible!

Just like with deities, you can talk to the nature spirits about everything! They will always lend a listening ear and try to assist you the best they can. Fairies are natural manifestors!

If there’s something you are trying to manifest, the fairy folk can simplify it for you. Sometimes the easiest solution is the best one. They live in a world of simple living!

I’ve found myself having trouble manifesting some of the big dreams I’ve had for my life. When I prayed to the fey about my manifesting problem, they gave me manifestation magick! The problem was my inability to believe that I could have the very things that I wanted, wished for, and desired.

The fey can point out areas of your life you need to work on, especially when it comes to witchcraft. Often, money spells don’t work because of a lack of belief. If you don’t believe you can have something you want, even if it’s desperately needed, you often won’t be able to manifest it.

The same can be said as true about any kind of wishing spell witchcraft! The fairies can remove the mental blockages that are keeping you from making your dreams come true, whether it be money, vacations, or a new car.

Working with the fairies has reminded me that manifestation is supposed to be fun! It’s not supposed to feel like an arduous chore. If you find yourself unable to manifest something that you want, find a way to make it fun again!

You can do this by making a wishlist and checking it off as you see things come true right before your very eyes! This makes it evident that your wishes can come true, one by one, by allowing yourself to receive from a place of ease.

Another thing you can do to welcome the fairies into your life is by creating a fairy cottagecore aesthetic! You can do this by creating wearable planter spells, adding fairy statuary to your home and garden, and by wearing flowy, romantic dresses with a bow in your hair.

The Fairy Witchcraft Tiny Handbook is for those who would love to get to know the fairies on a deeper level, and believe again. The fairies are responsible for childhood magic, nostalgia, and making wishes come true. Yes, some fey are dangerous if you choose to go there, but most are kind and friendly to humans.

Best Times to See a Fairy

How to See a Fairy

  • Fairy-Friendly Environments - Anywhere in the heart of nature will do!

  • Graveyards - Fairies live in the in-between, therefore, a graveyard is a particularly peaceful yet alluring place for them.

  • Fairy Gardens - Fairies are highly attracted to fairy gardens with statuary and crystals that represent them. Like attracts like and whatnot.

  • Places of Zen - Stupas, zen gardens, and butterfly gardens are a favorite of the fairy folk.

  • Fairy Houses - If you leave a fairy house somewhere they can get to, you are more likely to see a fairy there.

  • Backyard - You are more likely to see a fairy in your backyard, especially if the environment is fairy-friendly to them.

  • Lost Places - Places that are forgotten and timeless are home to the fey. This can be anything from an old, abandoned house garden to a forgotten family cemetery.

  • Waterfalls - Waterfalls are between worlds, making them the perfect place for a nature spirit to hang out!

  • Snapping photographs - Fairies often find their way into the pictures we take, especially the outdoor ones. I think it’s safe to say fairies invented phtobombing!

  • Houses - You might be lucky enough to see a fairy in your home, especially if they are welcome, and you have a zen-like vibe to your space. These types of fey are known as house brownies, and you can read about them in my How to Be a House Witch article.

  • Houseplants and Terrariums - I’ve seen fairies in my houseplants and terrariums before. They are highly attracted to plants, flowers, and small garden creatures.

As you can see, fairies can be a lot of fun to work with! They bring out a fun, playful side that is so much needed in this world. They teach us how to manifest with ease and how to make the earth a better place by taking care of it. Blessed be!
