The Goddess Vesta Herbarium for Kitchen Herbs and Spices covers kitchen witchcraft herbs, a soothing kitchen plants first-aid kit, and kitchen witch spices with Plants By Laurali! Vesta is a goddess known for hearth, warmth, and nourishment.

Since Thanksgiving is right around the corner, I figured it was the perfect time to write about Goddess Vesta’s kitchen garden, filled with kitchen plants, green hearthcraft herbs, and spices. Working with the Roman goddess of hearth and home is a regular part of my plant spirit witchcraft practice.

Goddess Vesta is a kitchen witch goddess who protects the home and its inhabitants. She has held a place in my heart and kitchen cabinets for many years. I keep a small space in my kitchen cabinet with an altar dedicated to her.

The tiny kitchen cupboard altar holds the Queen of Pentacles Tarot Card, a pentacle for protection, a vanilla bean, and her favorite kitchen oils, such as olive oil and avocado oil. Sometimes, I leave her offerings of star anise and cinnamon sticks.

The Queen of Pentacles Tarot Card symbolizes all that reminds one of Goddess Vesta. She’s a court card of motherhood, femininity, and earthly creature comforts of the material world. She’s also the court card of home, family, and the kitchen.

In How to Be a House Witch, I talk about the hearth being the heart of the kitchen and the heart of the home. It’s where we cook nourishing meals, break bread with family, and make soothing remedies with houseplants.

Goddess Vesta is the Roman goddess of the hearth, family, and home. She’s there at family gatherings, dinner parties, and holiday celebrations. In many ways, she is very much part of the family.

She is the goddess you call on when you’d like to connect with the house spirits of your household. She’s the ultimate kitchen witch, and through her, you can learn how to prepare your favorite meals with love.

Working with Goddess Vesta will teach you how to cook delicious meals with intention. She’s also a wonderful ally in learning how to use soothing plants, such as aloe vera, to create healing remedies from the home front.

Vesta knows which herbs and spices work best with each dish you make. She’s the goddess who can teach you how to cook, bake, and prepare things. If you want to know more about canning, making jams, or growing a windowsill herb garden, then Vesta is the goddess you’ll want to turn to!

Kitchen herbs and spices are often healing, soothing, and delicious! They add layers of flavor to each dish you make. Everything from mindful eating to intention smoothies and cooking spells brings the food to life.

With Goddess Vesta by your side, hearthcraft, kitchen witchery, and growing a garden of vegetables become as natural as breathing. She can help make your home, kitchen, and garden a place to step into and love.

The Goddess Vesta Herbarium for Kitchen Herbs and Spices

When you walk the path of a kitchen witch, you find yourself moving deeper into your green hearthcraft magic. It is a path focused on putting intentions into everyday, mundane tasks like cooking, cleaning, and watering plants.

The kitchen garden is downright magical, like food nourishing your body, mind, and soul. It teaches us patience, growth, and mindfulness. The kitchen plant material is made from soothing, healing plants that taste good.

Kitchen herbs and spices are made from parts of plants, seeds, bark, buds, and fruits. They are added to dishes or eaten as whole foods, such as apples or bananas. Kitchen witch spells can be used for both right-handed and left-handed magic using wooden spoons, tea witchcraft, and witchy kitchen cookbooks.

Another way to work in the herbal kitchen is to use DIY intention simmer pots. You can use a slow cooker or a boiling pot as a container vessel to fill with herbs, fruits, and gemstones. Put your intention into it to create a new blessing spell for each witchy holiday season!

Blessing your kitchen witchery tools or enchanting kitchen appliances helps set the tone for working with magical kitchen herbal ingredients. You’ll want to fill your kitchen with things at the ready!

Goddess Vesta is a hearth goddess who will bring good things into the kitchen! The hearth is usually the center of the home, where the oven resides, and this is often where herbs and spices are used the most.

Goddess Vesta and the Fornax

Goddess Vesta is the patroness of bakers and the making of bread. Goddess Fornax is the goddess of the oven. Goddess Vesta and the fornax go hand in hand!

As the goddess of home, hearth, and family, Vesta is the goddess who tends the warmth and heat of the oven. She governs the flame and hearth of the homefront.

Fornax regulated the oven temperature. She represented the fornax, the oven, in Ancient Roman culture. The oven temperature ensured the bread wouldn’t burn while baking.

I find that Goddess Vesxta keeps the homefires burning, especially in the kitchen and the home's fireplace. She emits warmth and heat. She is truly the heart of the home, and home is where the heart is.

If becoming a hearth witch or a kitchen witch is something you’re aspiring toward, Goddess Vesta is the perfect deity to turn to! She can teach you how to cook, bake, and prepare healthy meals for all to enjoy.

I find that she’s helpful for dinner parties and get-togethers! She helps you create the perfect mood, lighting, and setting to break bread with loved ones. She’s the ultimate kitchen witch!

Vesta’s Kitchen Herbs

Kitchen herbs are often aromatic and edible, adding flavor to dishes. Many of them have medicinal properties, making them perfect for home remedies. They are usually divided into “soft herbs” and “hard herbs” based on when you can add them to cooking.
