I often go to the park for hiking, prayers, and spellwork. This morning, I felt compelled to pray to Lady Luck while I was on my nature walk. I had a rough week, and I wanted to end it on a good note.

When I first got there, my energy was kind of scattered, so I immediately asked Fortuna to bring peace and calm to my heart chakra. Within minutes, I felt calm and centered. I began to ease into the walk effortlessly.

Many people don’t know how to pray, especially if the deity is unknown to them. It can feel unnatural at first. The best place to start is by speaking from the heart.

When starting with deity work, it’s best to be as transparent as possible. There are no such things as secrets with the gods and goddesses. You can tell them anything.

Goddess Fortuna is no exception to the rule! She wants you to be candid about your feelings. She wants you to share the secrets that you’ll take to the grave with you.

Fortuna isn’t here to judge or reprimand. She’s here to guide you and help you make better life choices. She’s not going to look down on you for the mistakes you’ve made in the past because that’s all part of the human experience.

It feels overwhelming the first time you pray to a deity. I remember the first time I prayed to Fortuna, it felt strange at first. I had never prayed to someone from ancient times before, and I didn’t know what to expect.

She slowly revealed herself to me, and I began to feel comfortable with her. Even though Fortuna dates back to ancient Rome, she navigates the modern age with ease. For example, she adores my digital altar and gave me the idea for it!

To worship Goddess Fortuna, you can write poems dedicated to her, write her prayer letters, create a Goddess Fortuna Playlist, or anything else you think she’d enjoy! She’s not picky.
