You can either purchase a Saint Expedite candle or create your own! For this spell, I designed a candle spell using a red candle. Red is the color of urgent matters, emergencies, and great speed.
As an Aries fire sign, I love practicing any kind of candle magick! I’m not the most patient person in the world, and I like fast results. Candles are a great way to speed things up!
I recommend using a candle that will last for several days in order to get the most out of your prayer request! Each time you light the candle, it shows a certain amount of devotion to your cause, and Expeditus will see that.
Another thing you can do is add something to your candle each time you relight it. You can add herbs, tiny crystals, and wax shapes. Be sure to add a taglock of saliva, blood, nail clippings, or anything else that comes from your personal body.
By doing this, you’ll continue to feed the energy of the spell and keep the momentum going! Everyone is different, but I love feeding my spells.

The Saint Expedite Procrastination Candle Spell
Once you have your candle all picked out, it’s time to get moving on your prayer request! Start by carving your intention into the candle with a knife. You can even carve Saint Expedite’s name into the candle wax.
Next, dress the candle! I used a couple of drops of vanilla extract, letting it flow around the outer bands of the candle.
Then, you’ll want to add any herbs or tiny gemstones you’d like to incorporate into the candle that match the intention of your prayer request. This is also where you’ll want to add your personal taglock.
I used broken cinnamon sticks, cayenne pepper, red pepper flakes, whole cloves, and whole AllSpice. I made sure to place them towards the outer rim of the candle, away from the candle wick.
Vanilla is about as close to heaven as you can get with its heavenly scent. It represents reaching the higher realms where the saints live. It’s supremely uplifting!
Cinnamon powers any spell and represents money magick and commerce. This makes it perfect for a procrastination spell!
Cayenne pepper can be used for speed, urgency, and emergencies, therefore, making it perfect for any kind of spell in which Saint Expedite is called on! Cayenne pepper is fast-acting, similar to a wildfire.
Red pepper flakes work great for protection and defence magick. I feel as though it creates a boundary of protection around the spell, only allowing positive forces to come through.
Cloves are used for success, protection, and money magick! This makes cloves perfect for busting through procrastination with anything work-related.
AllSpice is used for commerce, making it perfect for completing daily tasks and finding creative solutions to work and business problems. What a great way to bust through procrastination!
For a taglock, I licked each broken cinnamon stick piece and added it to the spell! Feel free to use whatever taglock you have on hand. However, I wouldn’t recommend a strand of hair since it’s a fire hazard.
As I dressed the candle and added each ingredient, I continuously prayed to Saint Expedite to bust through my procrastination. When I lit the candle, I said my intention aloud, and I could feel that I was heard by Saint Expedite.
Last but not least, I continued to give thanks to Saint Expedite, as I watched my spell come to life right before my very eyes! I gave him a physical offering of incense, and currently, I’m sitting here writing about the miracle he created in my life.
